Power Trio Studios is an independent film production group birthed out of the Southland Chicago area (Calumet City), with an extensive graphic design branch serving clientele on a national level out of Columbus, Ohio. Power Trio Studios specializes in guerrila style filmmaking, by adapting original screenplays written, directed, and independently produced by the companies founding fathers.
Power Trio Studios was created in the fall of 2006 by close friends Harry Locke IV, Walter Banasiak, and Daniel Grenchik during the course of their senior year at Thornton Fractional North High School in Calumet City, Illinois. Bound together by a mutual love of films and storytelling, the charismatic trio began work on their first feature film "NOIR" in the summer of 2007. Despite having no formal education in the art of filmmaking, nor the privledge of working under an affluent financial backer. Locke, Banasiak, and Grenchik were able to take their film from paper to print within a year's time, culminating in a hometown premiere in front of family, friends, and fans in March of 2008. The filmmakers were praised by local officials, publications and the Chicago Tribune for overcoming the numerous obstacles set before them during the creation of "NOIR". The events have since served as a solid foundation for the trio to evolve their privately owned and operated production studio to the next level.
Power Trio Studios has a full slate for 2009 and beyond, with there second feature film endeavor, "I'M STILL HERE", premiering on August 01, 2009. A DVD release is set to follow in October (check our projects page for more info). The trio has also announced that work on a short feature, designed exclusively for film competition. will be shot and released in Columbus, Ohio this summer, and work on a third feature film is already under development.
In 2009, Power Trio Studios also began offering graphic design services to private clients across the nation. To date, the group has received high praise from customers who have enjoyed their designs implemented in everything from business advertisements, to wedding invitations. |
